Thank you for using Anvil: A Homebrew D&D Beyond Magic Items Importer (the "Extension"). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the Extension.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

The Extension operates entirely locally within your browser. Its sole purpose is to parse text that you provide and automate the filling of forms on D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com). None of the text you input, your D&D Beyond account information, or your browsing history is ever transmitted to us or any third-party servers.

2. Data Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's local storage mechanism solely to persist temporary state while actively importing an item (for example, to remember which step of the form filling process it is currently on). This data is completely cleared as soon as the import process finishes or is canceled. It is never uploaded or shared.

3. Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions to function:

• activeTab: Allows the Extension to interact with the currently active D&D Beyond tab to fill in the homebrew forms.
• storage: Used temporarily during the import process to track state across page loads.
• tabs: Required to communicate between the Extension's popup and the background scripts running on the page.
• downloads: Only used if you explicitly click the "Export Diagnostics" button to save a local `.txt` file for your own debugging purposes.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
